I've been goin' through paperwork trying to figure out our homeowners insurance. Man, there is A LOT of paperwork involved in this home buying business. I can hardly keep everything straight...especially in my brain. Seems to me there's a lot of useless photocopying and printing going on. Most of these papers have the same information. Can't they consolidate some of this stuff? I keep thinking of all the waste and all the trees. Just think of all the trees we'd save, or use for better purposes, if the home buying process wasn't so paper oriented. Granted we received much of our paperwork information via email but somewhere in the process they either get printed or another representative involved needs a copy. It's all so wasteful and I don't like it. Not to mention the HUGE space it takes up in my file cabinet.
Then there's times like these where I need to figure out and detail what's going on before I give someone a call to figure even more stuff out. I can't seem to find the right information because it's on one little piece of paper buried in a stack of a million. Is it all really necessary?
Here's a novel concept. You know how you can go 'paperless' on your monthly bills and statements? Why don't they try and do the same with home buying? Why not? Sounds pretty brilliant to me.

Today I'm making a brief note about how thankful I am to have my husband-who is still employed, my happy little 2 year old daughter, my newly owned house and of course my happiness.
After having a long conversation with a friend about what's going on in her life, as well as a lot of our mutual friends, it put many things into perspective again and I'm truly thankful for that. I am one of the rare few that get to experience such happiness in content family life. :D

Well, here I am. First blog ever....well, outside of MySpace and Facebook that is. This is a real live blog! Now that I sit here though I'm not even sure what to write about. This might actually be a good thing as I look at the piles of projects I need to complete and put on eBay or Etsy; but alas, I feel like just sitting here on my ass on the computer. The window is wide open, fresh breezy air fill my nostrils. We just had our first real hard downpour. It was just lovely; and I welcome the fall and even the winter at this point (that more than likely will change in about 3 months). It makes me happy. I love my new house...but that's an entirely different post.
So onto this fabulous first new post!! I keep asking myself how I'm going to possibly keep people interested in reading my posts. I have several blogs I read frequently. One in particular posts something new about every other day or so. I can't help but keep going back to her blog...over and over again. Check her out: www.bonzaiaphrodite.com. I honestly don't know how she does it but I would say it's truly her calling. She's an amazing writer and incredibly intelligent. She definitely has one of the best blogs I've ever read. I look up to her as a blogger and can only aspire to be like her. However, my aim is not to have a blog like hers. My goal is to just have something where I can write and write and write. I tend to be quite verbose. My brain is cluttered with ideas, details, opinions, projects, knowledge and well, just everything! Hehehe. I think if I could get it out on "paper" I could clear some of this crap out and start getting a little more organized?? (Yeah right...good luck with that Tenise! lol.) I'm gonna have a hard time keeping my blogs organized even......unless I make some sort of plan, and that's probably not gonna happen. But back to my point about keeping people interested in my blog. (So I get side-tracked sometimes...I can't stay focused on one subject at a time...back and forth, back and forth.) I've decided to keep my blog slightly hidden, or quiet really, from the public; and what I mean by that is I'm not going to be telling everyone I have a blog and to check it out....only for the time being. If some random Googler finds my blog, fine. I'm just not telling family and friends about it quite yet. (And for those of you that do know about it right now.....you best feel privileged. ;) ) I feel like this needs to be more of a journal or *diary* (Yuck! Diary? Really?). That way I don't have to think about others and their interest in what I write. It's MY blog anyway, right? So who the fuck cares. I gotta get used to just putting thoughts down anyway. Plus, I always write as if I'm talking to someone else. So I won't be able to talk to myself for long. I'm gonna have to share it sooner or later.
My current mantra: No regrets...no deleting...no editing (okay, maybe I'll edit if I find a misspelling, grammar or punctuation error - I can't help it!).....this is what I write...THIS IS ME!!! Take it or leave it!
So with that being said here's my first post. My journal, my diary, my ME! 'My me'....lol...I kinda like that. ;D
